SCHOOLRATE PLATFORM
ABSTRACT
Schoolrate is an education management information system (EMIS) that handles all aspects of the learning process. The platform delivers and manages scholastic content, identifies and assesses individual and organizational learning or training goals, track the progress towards meeting those goals, and collects and presents data for supervising the learning process as a whole.
School rate is a platform that generally addresses the following areas of functionality.
Schoolrate application takes a classroom experience into the 21st century making teaching and learning easier. Users access School rate software using networked client devices, such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
INTRODUCTION
The use of information technology in educational management has rapidly increased due to its efficiency and effectiveness. Overall review of literature highlighted the positive impact of EMIS on school administration and management including better access to information, more efficient administration, higher utilization of school resources, reduction in workload, better time management, and improvement in the quality of reports.
EMIS provide administrators, teachers, students, and parents or guardians with the information required for informed planning, policy-making, and evaluation.
OBJECTIVE
“What Ways Do You Like to Use Technology to Enable Teaching and Learning?” For this the question, today’s tech-aware educators are focused on engaging students, learning about new tools, and enabling active learning.
Schoolrate main objective top selections are Better Engaging Students, Communication, Collaborative Activities, Letting Students Create Content and Teaching Specific Technology Skills.
Interestingly, the choices with the lowest rankings are: Preparing students for Careers and to practice reading and writing.
IMPLEMENTATION
There are 2 models for the implementation of schoolrate. In all models training, maintenance, and system administration are covered. The Client is charged per active system users to enable them to pay for what they are using.
1. Existing traditional schools buy online virtual school and are given access to the platform where all required academic and professional data such as students, classes, teachers, system administrators, courses, lessons are added with help from schoolrate support team.
2. Individual clients or organizations buy a virtual school and with help from schoolrate support team, the client adds students, teachers, guardians, classes, courses and system managers. The added users can now start using the system each according to his role, for example, teachers delivering content, managing quizzes, attendance, discipline, etc.
